The spacious archive is equipped with a moveable shelf system specifically developed for document archiving. The archive is access restricted under supervision of the archivist and his deputy. It is equipped with a fire and water alarm system as well as data loggers to control temperature and humidity. Maintenance and pest control is performed on a regular basis.
The archiving of electronic data is performed based on an SOP-based procedure using blu-ray based M-Discs with an extrapolated durability of 1000 years and cryptographic checksum verification.
